Our four Individual Anger Management Sessions are designed for individuals who prefer a more personal and flexible schedule and cannot commit to our highly-regarded all-day Saturday program or the program conducted over two Tuesday evenings. The program is identical but fine-tuned to individual needs.

Program Outline:

Session 1: Understanding Anger and its Triggers.
You will learn about the nature of anger, what triggers it, and the physical and emotional affects it can have on your body. You will also learn about the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and how changing your thoughts can help you manage your anger.

Session 2: Techniques for Managing Anger in the Moment
This session focuses on practical techniques for managing your anger. You’ll learn how to recognize the physical and emotional signs of anger together with how to use deep breathing and relaxation exercises to calm down. You will also learn to use two powerful assertive communication techniques to express your feelings and needs in a positive and constructive way

Session 3: Problem-Solving Skills
You will learn how to use problem-solving skills to address issues the right way. You will learn how to identify the problem, brainstorm solutions, and evaluate the effectiveness of each solution.

Session 4: Maintaining Your Progress
The final session focuses on how to maintain the progress you have made in managing your anger. You will learn how to create an action plan for handling future anger-provoking situations and how to recognize when you need to seek additional help.
